Lightspeed Outdoors 2-Person Air Bed with Battery Operated Pump

Lightspeed Outdoors 2-Person PVC-Free Air Bed with Battery Operated Pump

Manufactured from PVC-free thermoplastic polyurethane the temperature of this air mattress is more stable and it’s not as stretchy as a PVC airbed. It is also sturdier and more durable than a traditional PVC air mattress.

Compact and light weight, it’s perfect for travel and camping. It inflates and deflates pretty quick, in a little over three minutes. And the valve doesn’t leak. It’s wonderfully firm and comfortable. It doesn’t sag and holds air well. It’s a full to queen size, so two average-sized adults can sleep comfortably on it.

Best Suited To

We enjoy camping, but we don’t like sleeping on the hard ground, so we absolutely love this air mattress. It delivers a restful, comfortable sleep. It’s lightweight, only six pounds, so it’s portable and folds up easily.

It conveniently comes with its own pump powered by 4 D batteries. It’s easy to inflate and deflate. Also, it fits easily (with pump and even sheets) in the carry bag it comes with. It’s made from Thermoplastic Polyurethane, which we found to be much sturdier, puncture resistant and less prone to ballooning than the PVC air mattresses we’ve used in the past.

It’s also a lot more comfortable than cots or camping pads. My husband and I slept on it together, so it does sleep two comfortably, without issues. And, it fit in our two-man pup tent.

Verdict

It’s made of strong, high quality, health-safe materials without pthalates, so it’s much tougher than PVC air mattresses and doesn’t have that chemical smell. Also the texture of the material helps prevent the sheets from sliding. It has a nice feel, it’s firm, is stretch resistant and it holds air well. In fact it’s the first air mattress we’ve owned that didn’t lose air. We had it in our tent for a week and never had to put more air in it.

It also inflated and deflated fast and painlessly. And it folds up well. When I or my husband shifted our bodies as we slept, the mattress didn’t bounce and it felt almost the same as sleeping on my regular spring mattress. Another plus is it didn’t get cold. We also found it to be a good value. We highly recommend it and feel it is the best air mattress for camping.
